Process

Every recycling contract is allocated a unique reference number and each contract is individually processed so that material weights are highly accurate and not based on product protocols. This allows detailed reporting on weights and recycling percentages and allows complete audit trail visibility against that specific contract. S2S Lifecycle Services operate a unique database system that records all this data and allows certificates and reports to be produced that can be tailored to the client's specific requirements. The materials generated by S2S Lifecycle Services include Circuit Boards, Ferrous Metal, Copper, Aluminium, Cardboard, Plastics and Batteries. We ensure all materials are secondary processed within the UK and in fact 80% of material is processed in Yorkshire. This ensures our carbon footprint is kept to an absolute minimum. We can guarantee no overseas processing on all equipment taken in at S2S Lifecycle Services.

Hard Drive Removal

We take data protection and security very seriously and as part of the process we ensure that in equipment for destruction, ALL hard drives are removed and granulated.

BATRRT

Annex 2 of the WEEE directive gives specific guidelines on the treatment of WEEE and Hazardous components that should be removed from WEEE. The Environment Agency offer guidance on this in the form of the Best Available Recovery & Recycling Techniques (BATRRT). All the S2S Lifecycle Services operatives are trained on this guidance and we ensure that all equipment is recycling to the highest standards that maximise the recycling percentages and scrap values. This includes the removal of all batteries, circuit boards etc along with the removal of specific items such as toner cartridges and mercury containing bulbs. This means we offer a FULL disassembly solution for CRT screens, TFT screens and TV‘s.
